Staff Greetings

It’s right around this time every season that we finish up the holiday cards wishing Joy, Peace and Goodwill to all. This year, we thought we’d try something a little different to remind readers that we appreciate everyone who had a hand in making Addison Airport a success again this year.

Learning to Fly at Addison

JetWhine_LTF Team Flying is an intensely personal endeavor, and there are as many reasons to become an aviator as there are pilots. At last count, that’s 594,285 reasons. Fortunately, however, those reasons fall into three broad categories: recreation, personal transportation, and professional, as in getting paid to fly.

Regardless of your reason for learning to fly, the initial training is the same for everyone. With three flight schools, Addison Airport is an excellent place to launch your flying career. Where you go from there depends on your aviation interests.

Those who want to fly for fun when the weather is good are ready to launch their aerial adventures upon earning a private pilot certificate. If you’re learning to fly for personal transportation or a career, you can’t wait for good weather, and an instrument rating teaches you to fly when the weather is less than perfect. (more…)
